Language requirements

Most courses are taught in Spanish, which is why all international non-degree seeking students are required to prove their intermediate language competence in Spanish.

Your Spanish level should exceed B1, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

If you wish to apply for writing our journalism courses at the School of Communication you are required to have an advanced level of Spanish (level C1/C2, CEFR)

Language competence can be proved by submitting one of the following documents:

  • Spanish teacher statement about the student’s language proficiency (must be accompanied by the course syllabus of the last Spanish unit taken).
  • DELE certificate, or similar.
